Fishtown Queer Social builds the everyday infrastructure of queer community in Philadelphia — recurring gatherings, real relationships, and a network people can actually count on.
We're not a one-off party. We're the kind of community that shows up every month, on purpose, for the long haul.
FQS is built for the full spectrum of the LGBTQ+ community — not one corner of it.
Lesbian, gay, bi, trans, nonbinary, queer, questioning, and everyone building a life alongside us. People in their late twenties and people well into their fifties. People who've lived in Philly for decades and people who just got here.
If "the scene" was never built with you in mind, this is.
Queer community doesn't happen by accident. It takes a consistent place, a familiar face at the door, and enough repetition that showing up stops feeling like an event and starts feeling like a habit.
We exist because:
Belonging shouldn't be seasonal.
Community needs infrastructure, not just intention.
Everyone deserves a room where they don't have to explain themselves.
You can come solo. Most people do.
You'll find a mix of regulars and new faces, spanning ages and corners of the community, with a vibe that leans more "familiar hang" than "scene."
No pressure. No agenda. No gatekeeping.
Just a room where it's easy to say hi.
Our core event is a monthly happy hour, typically held on the second Tuesday, bringing 200+ people together for drinks, conversation, and community.
Beyond that, we host smaller, more targeted gatherings for different corners of our community, including:
Sapphic and queer women's nights
Watch parties
Recreational Activities
Gaymers / game nights
Trivia nights
Coffee and brunch meetups
Queer-owned market pop-ups
Holiday and seasonal gatherings
Some are loud. Some are low-key. All are intentional.

Every month, FQS brings queer people together — showing up on time, staying awhile, and spending.
We host a range of events, from our main monthly happy hour to smaller, more intimate gatherings. That means we're looking for a range of venues too, from larger rooms that can hold a crowd to smaller spots with the right vibe for a specific night.
We run the promotion, manage the room, and set the tone. We work closely with venue staff to keep the night smooth and the ask on your end minimal.
We're looking for spaces that feel like part of the neighborhood, and teams that want to be part of what we're building.
